What is SEO exactly?
SEO also referred as Search Engine Optimization, is a process of making a Website popular among the Search engines and shows on the top results of the Search Engines. Keywords play a very vital role in optimizing a website for search engines. Millions of people daily use the internet for searching relevant information for them. While, SEO guarantees that your website is the one that those individuals are looking for. It’s a known fact that people normally tend to look only for results on the first page or at the most second page. More than 75% of the high traffic generating sites are ranked on the first page of the search results.


When did SEO come into Existence?
SEO has grown along with the growth of Internet. The initial starting of SEO is from the early 1990’s, when people only used to submit their sites to Search Engines. Then the Search engines introduced the programs called Spiders that examine the Web pages, store data from it, and index the several pages it comes across. The search then takes the information from the indexer and shows the results to the users in the order of their relevancy.

SEO Techniques
SEO is basically divided into two broad categories, which are as follows:

On Page Optimization: these factors are related directly to the structure and content of the website. On page optimization involves, the smart use of keywords in URL, Title, Headings and Content of the site. It also includes restructuring the website for better linked and attractive page content.

Off Page Optimization: these are the techniques that are done off and outside the pages of the website. Off page optimization normally targets, at getting linked to as many relevant and good sites as possible and to get links from as many relevant sites.

As more and more businesses are connecting with each other through internet the scope and future of SEO becomes brighter. But as this sector is a booming one, more and more competition is likely to affect your performance as well. So be prepared for it.
